 THE UNNAMED SISTER ♔ MILEN'S CROW a gift from the morrígan to a little soldier F A I T H F U L | K N O W I N G | P L A Y F U L S H A R P | O V E R P R O T E C T I V E | A L I E N One of the fledglings amongst the Morrígan's flock, the Nameless Sister is one of legion. Named 'Mari' by her master, Daphne's apprentice Milen, she is a bird of prophesy — meaning that if her master stares into her eyes or listens to what she whispers into his ear as he sleeps, he will be given access to the future (albeit in broken and often unintelligible fragments). Only with time and practice will Milen be able to perform true augury, but in the meantime Mari serves as simply a companion to the young apprentice. Sometimes a bird, sometimes a young woman, she is unused to humans and oftentimes behaves in ways that are strange and alien. When Mari speaks, there is a very odd cadence to her words; she has a habit of placing emphasis on the wrong syllables in words, something that just draws more attention to the ways in which she fails to completely pass as human.
